After university, Edith Gowdy trained with City firm Linklaters, working in both their London and Paris offices, qualifying in 2002 in the Real Estate department.
In 2004, she returned to Northern Ireland and joined King & Gowdy as an assistant. She became a partner in 2007. Qualified to practice in both Northern Ireland and England, she specialises in all aspects of commercial law, particularly property work, and also advises private clients on a wide range of subjects including Wills & Probate and domestic conveyancing. She also acts for institutional clients in respect of their commercial activities in Northern Ireland and England.
Edith Gowdy is a member of the Board of Governors of Strathearn School and was appointed a non executive director of the Progressive Building Society in 2008.
Her other interests include travel and reading. When the weather permits, she also enjoys playing golf.
