 Expertise:

 David Fergie trained at Newtownards firm, Alex Stewart & Son Solicitors and was enrolled as a Solicitor in 1983. He joined King & Gowdy as an assistant in June 1990 and was made a partner in July of that year.
 He then became a consultant in July 2010.

David Fergie’s areas of expertise are in litigation where he specialises in Common Law Plaintiff and Defendant Personal Injury, Professional Indemnity Insurance Litigation, Plaintiff and Defendant Commercial and Chancery Litigation. He also has an extensive Judicial Review, Employment Law and Liquor Licensing practice and has experience in Criminal Law.

Outside the office, David Fergie is a certified trained Mediator having been appointed by the Law Society in 2004. He is also an occasional Lecturer at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at the Queen’s Institute of Belfast.
 

In his spare time, he is a referee for the Ulster Society of Rugby Union Football.
